New build having POST problems

Hey all,

I have just put together a new build. Build computers before, just not the last lets say 5 years. I have a ROG Strix B650E-F Gaming Wifi motherboard here. I have a Ryzen 5 7600X CPU installed on it by me. I have a PSU of Corsair 800W.

So after putting it together it did not work, no POST beeps or screen output. So I removed the GPU and 1 stick of RAM. I checked all power cables, still no beep no screen. There is a orange led, which is usually a 'hardware' issue somewhere.

Storage wise I have 2 SATA SSDs connected and my first ever nvme storage. I did install one for my wife before, without incident.

Power cable wise I might be a bit confused. on the motherboard there is a 8 pin (4x2 rows) and a 4 pin (2x2) slot at the top of the motherboard for what I believe is as ATX12V_1 and ATX12V_2. Now my modular PSU from Corsair did not have any wire that has a 2x2, so I connected one cable with 4x2 to the ATX12V_1 slot, seeing that the motherboard manual mentioned I could connected a 4x2 OR a 4x2 + 2x2.

That is the only thing I can think of that is wrong here. Could anyone help me troubleshoot?

EDIT: Oh yeah I get a boot light, some RGB on the motherboard and working fans from the PSU, 2 from chassis and one from the CPU.

Oh I got somewherew when swapping to different RAM slot 🙂
