What case

alan93

what one of these two cases would be best for cooling? corsair 7000D airflow or the Lian Li O11DXL-X O11 Dynamic XL ROG Certified (Black) ATX Full Tower Gaming Computer Case? If i go with first one what is a decent fan hub to get. the mother board i'm using doesn't have enough fan headers but it will for the second one if i'm correct. if it helps, the cooler is rog strix lc II argb. The motherboard is MSI MPG Z690 CARBON WIFI DDR5 LGA 1700 Intel Z690 SATA 6Gb/s ATX Intel.

If you don’t already have the cooler, it’s not a good cooler and it’s from a somewhat reprehensible OEM- it’s Asetek-made. Don’t buy it, instead buy a better, cheaper cooler like the liquid freezer II. Otherwise don’t bother swapping, its good enough to use.

The 7000D Airflow probably has better cooling since instead of a tempered glass front panel it’s a nice mesh airflow panel. But it shouldn’t be that different.

What are you trying to cool?

It's not just about getting the biggest case you can, it's about controlling the proper flow of air thru a case.  Even a small midtower can outcool those 2 if you don't think about proper fan placement.

the case and aio last things i need to get so the aio isn't set in stone put i did see that the case can support 480mm aio's so any suggestions? The CPU is a 13900k if that helps

i suggest the Arctic Liquid Freezer II in 420mm if it fits! They also make an a-rgb one.

ya i just seen one for like $160 on newegg and didn't realize that the case has a fan controller thing so that should be enough then with the motherboard. the case has support for a 420 on the front of case and on the side so it should work.is it better to go all 120's or 140's. it's either 12 120's or 7 140's. minus where ever the aio is.

Doesn’t matter that much but i like to use the biggest fan the case supports- so if it supports 140s use em and you won’t need to buy as many fans. I suggest arctic’s p14 pwm pst 5-packs. again, they come in rgb too- same fans used on the liquid freezer series
