I received an email offer from Capitaloneshopping offering $90 back in rewards for a motherboard being sold by Newegg. The motherboard is $299.99 and Newegg also has a $10 off promo code to use on it. Can I use this promo code and still earn the $90 back in rewards, or will this cause me to NOT earn that back? Just trying to make exactly sure before I make a purchasing mistake.

Anyone have experience with Capitaloneshopping, if so, how is it?

Thanks

Sounds like a potential scam.

What's the sender's email address?

Edit:

For security experts, you should know scammers figured out how to spoof legitimate emails.

This is just to check if it's an obvious scam.

It's a legit email from them.

I think I heard a bank offering a system similar to "honey" so perhaps this was the bank.

Double check the terms and conditions and if it all checks good, go for it.

If a bank were to screw you over for petty cash, they'd risk losing out on your potential taking loans from them for big money.

It's probably legit with no catch.

Which exact MB is it? Check the price isn't already lower elsewhere without the hoop jumping.

I already ordered it. Price is the same or higher everywhere else. I hope using the Capitaloneshopping offer earns me the $90 rewards. I can cash that in for a gift card to order some of my other parts, at least it will help pay for them.

Here's the motherboard. $299.99 currently, with $10 promo code, which I decided NOT to use for fear of it causing me to not be able to earn the $90 in rewards.

I'll update how it all goes at a later date. Wish me luck! 😀
