The Case Struggle

Go to solution Solved by Skiiwee29,

Seems like a Lian Li O11 Dynamic XL-X is the case for you.

https://au.pcpartpicker.com/product/FjpmP6/lian-li-o11d-xl-x-atx-full-tower-case-o11d-xl-x

               Samsung 870 Evo 2TB 2.5" SSD

1x GTEK Ultra High Speed 8K HDMI 2.1 Cable

4x Ugreen USB3.0 Gold-Plated Extension Cable 3m

I am thinking about getting a fan controller but haven't looked into it yet.

PROBLEM:

I am struggling to find a case to house my typewriter as I have specific needs to be met and can't find anything suitable in stock. I am looking for a Full Tower (Preferably) case with a Glass side panel (It just looks better), removable dust filters, mesh front (Preferred but not essential), front mounted i/o (Must include at least 1 USB3.2 Gen1 oriented vertically), ATX form factor and able able to house the following:

-165mm (Width) CPU Fan

-320mm GPU

-170mm (Length) PSU

-2x140mm Front Mounted Case Fans

-2x140mm Top Mounted Case Fans

-Preferably a 140mm Rear Mounted Fan

Additional Notes:

I have looked into the SilverStone FARA Series however these are mid towers and I don't trust the tight squeeze on the CPU Fan. I am upgrading from a Yukon Gold Potato and I am expecting to type in notepad in 4K at 120FPS (hopefully) with this new setup. I am operating from my bed in case you were wondering why I was using a TV.

Unsure if trolling or not, but I bought a Fractal Design Define 7 XL. If that's too large for whatever reason, its smaller brother, the Define 7, should be okay.

It's not listed on PCPartPicker, but both cases have windowed and nonwindowed options.

Not trolling just having a bit of fun with my writing 🙂. I have looked at these but I was looking for front mounted i/o. My situation is fairly specific and I am pretty picky when it comes to my case.

I have had a look at this however it looks like it was more designed for water cooling. I was unsure if this would be an issue when fitting everything in properly (in terms of mounting).

It is a watercooling oriented chassis but is 100% suited for air cooling and is a chart topper for air cooling with Gamers Nexus when they tested. All the requirements you have laid out the O11 Dynamic XL checks the box.

The other issue I had with this case is that, because it is more water-cooling oriented, there doesn't look to be much airflow from the front and I am worried about not having the front facing fans as I don't want any chance of the CPU overheating. Apart from that, it looks like it can satisfy my needs.

Go check out gamers nexus review. They strictly test air cooling only.
