Asus GPU Replacement Fan

Error 504

there is something wrong with the fans on my card, but i don't want to send it back for rma, because i don't want to wait for however long without a graphics card. i noticed that the aftermarket white edition fans are 4.5amp, and the black ones are 5.0amp.

is there a difference with that 0.5amp? because i have a black card, but i bought the white fans, and i get strange noise from the fan bearing between 1500rpm and 1800 rpm. i don't know if that's something to do with the ampage.

thanks.

0.5 amps shouldnt matter too much, but isnt 5A a bit too high? That would be 60W for each fan, so 180W for the 3fans alone.

my card is still under warranty, but it's too much of a hassel to do the rma thingy. i could only find aftermarket fans. the ads for white fans say 4.5amp, and 5.0amp for black fans. i have a black card, but i got the white fans. the noise is very noticeable between 1500rpm and 1800rpm. everything is fine outside of that range.

so i thought maybe that missing 0.5amp made the fans more difficult to maintain within those rpm range.

please advise. thanks.

That's half Amp not five Amp. The 0.05A difference shouldn't make any difference.

weird why they would make the black and white fans different in ampage, and even in diameter and screw holes...

i tried to find specs for black and white cards, but nothing really specifies screw holes distance.
