CX-M or TX-M?

In your title you mentioned TM-M, but you mention the CX-M in your question.

Both are decent, and suitable for a mid-range system with something like...RTX 3060 Ti.

TX-M being one-step higher than the CX-M in the Corsair line-up.

Or is it better to get a RM650X?

The TX650M should be fine.

The RX-M series is another tier up from the TX-M.

TX-M is also Semi-modular cable PSU, while RX-M is Fully-modular cable PSU.

If you were deciding between the 650W versions of the TX-M or RX-M, I'd say it wouldn't matter too much.

However, if you said you are looking at a 750W+ and powering something...say RTX 3090 / RTX 4090, I would say get the RM-X model instead.

Of course, you need to also compare the price.

What changes between the TXM and RXM is that one is semi modular and the other is full modular?
because I bought an RMx on the site, but the title was for this TXm, and the support said it was a merely illustrative image, so as not to have a headache I wanted to know if it's worth keeping the TXm anyway.
But like you said, there's not much difference between them, right?

RMx usually has better voltage/ripple control, and suitable for those pushing power-hungry components or shooting for high overclocks.

Of course, the fully modular cables as well.

Aside from that, the difference isn't much.

i have an i5 8400 i want to switch soon to a better one to keep up with the 3060 ti
Asus tuf h310m, I also want to change
16gb ram 2x8 2666
SSD 220
hdd 1t
Now if you are going to put a better processor, is it worth the RMx more?

Even if you replace the CPU with a i7-8700K, or upgrade the CPU to something like 13th Gen i5-13600K, you will be fine with the TX-M.
