56C at 12% usage seems quite normal on a Ryzen, it's kinda the same on my 5900X

The temperature reported with Ryzen CPUs is typically Tdie/Tctrl, which is a hotspot temperature. That means it's reporting the hottest spot on the CPU, which might be a small part of a single core that's boosting for a brief period of time. For this reason, the temperature when near idle isn't that helpful.

 

What is your temperature at full load? When running something all-core like Cinebench or Prime95?
