Is this normal for a ryzen 3 3300x to just do that, I recently built this pc using a different thermal paste since it's second hand, I opted with the Deepcool Z3, I'd like to know whether it's the thermal paste or something else.

What cooler are you using? With the stock cooler, going up to 65C or so under load is perfectly normal.

Yes it is the stock cooler, but I'm just browsing and not really doing anything that's demanding on the cpu.

it sometimes bounce to 70 degrees.

56C at 12% usage seems quite normal on a Ryzen, it's kinda the same on my 5900X

The temperature reported with Ryzen CPUs is typically Tdie/Tctrl, which is a hotspot temperature. That means it's reporting the hottest spot on the CPU, which might be a small part of a single core that's boosting for a brief period of time. For this reason, the temperature when near idle isn't that helpful.

 

What is your temperature at full load? When running something all-core like Cinebench or Prime95?

Is your PC performing background tasks/updates? This can last for a while before things settle down.
