Hi all,

With the build log subforum full of people with sponsored builds, I'm curious as to how these people all get sponsored.

Is there more involved behind the scenes?

You need rapport with the company/s that are sponsoring you. Why would Corsair or EVGA sponsor some random on a forum, there needs to be a reason.
I have reached out to a few companies and have been knocked back multiple times, but you just need to persist and eventually you will get sponsored or affiliated with one or more companies
I'm talking from experience here.

If you want to get sponsored some things that will increase your chances would be:

  • A website, (not some sub-domain, a proper website with hosting and domain name.)
  • YouTube, Twitter, Facebook or other social sites.
  • Patience.
  • Passion about a certain subject, hobby or topic.
CORSAIR RIPPER: AMD 3970X - 3080TI & 2080TI - 64GB Ram - 2.5TB NVME SSD's - 35" G-Sync 120hz 1440P
MFB (Mining/Folding/Boinc): AMD 1600 - 3080 & 1080Ti - 16GB Ram - 240GB SSD
Dell OPTIPLEX:  Intel i5 6500 - 8GB Ram - 256GB SSD

Just remember that sponsors don't sponsor because they want to give you free stuff.

You only get sponsored if they think they will make money from it. When Linus makes a video and get sent stuff for free, it's because the company sending him the thing things that the publicity they get is worth more than the product. If you want to get a CPU for 200 dollars then you have to convince them that the publicity they get is worth more than 200 dollars.

If you're just a random user on a small internet forum then don't expect to get sponsored. If you think you have a chance then contact the companies' marketing department.
