Task Manager Not Working Windows 10

I am using my laptop that has Windows 10 on it and the task manager is not working. When I open task manager it opens but does not respond.

It has not been working for a while so I don't think updates are the problem.

that's because your cpu is at 100%... i would say shut the laptop off fully then start windows up again,  don't open any programs*,  open taskmanager and wait ~10 minutes max to see if cpu usage goes down. typically it should take about 2 minutes for that to happen. 

 

 

*That includes "Dragon (32bit)" whatever that is make sure it's not running...!

 

 

Also can you get in your startup tab? it looks to me that that's where the issue is... either way, many computers at 100% cpu are very slow to respond so ultimately i think that's your issue. 

 

(yeah, mine is responding just fine at 100%... dunno why tbh...

I don't think the cpu is actually at 100% percent everything works fine except task manager.

I decided to try task manager again, and it is now randomly working.
