igpu on 13900k

Ndogg

I am about to build a new pc with a i9 13900k and a 4090. I can’t get the 4090 until Christmas however. Will the igpu on the 13900k be sufficient for gaming until then?

I have a 2060 super in a old build but that build used to crash a lot and i am scared that if I install it on my new build temporarily it could cause some damage.

Define gaming, if some light 2D games or old 3D games, sure, other than that, either it won't run at all, or just plain unenjoyable.

It won't cause damage. It might still crash if the 2060 Super is bad, but the worst case scenario is that your Windows install gets corrupted by blue screening at an inopportune time and you need to reinstall Windows. Use this card if at all possible.

CS:GO and League of Legends might be OK, but anything more intensive wouldn't really be usable.

no- just use your old build for gaming until your 4090 arrives.

As others have said, the iGPU will be sufficient for most light games. Really just depends on what games OP is playing or fine not playing until the 4090 arrives.

It’ll be enough for something like valorant at 60fps 1080p but certainly not anything demanding
