Several Errors after system upgrade

Go to solution Solved by Alinz,

Use this tool Display Driver Uninstaller.

This video from  JayzTwoCents explains well enough how to use it.

Im bad with titles, so let me explain:
A few days ago, I ordered a 3070 TI. After i ordered it, I looke dat my system and decided I had to Overclock my CPU (i7-7900k) so i can use my 3600 mhz Ram at 3600 mhz and not on 2666 mhz with XMP. I did that, my cpu is at 4.3 GHZ (my cooler cant handle more without getting in the 95 Degree Celsius Space. So 4.3 GHZ, thermals are fine, i stress tested for like 90 minutes with prime95. ) Errors, no problems at all, (cpu and ram was on 97-100% usage the whole 90 minutes).
I stress tested with my old 1660 super. Now I have the 3070 ti, and my pc ran into 2 "Error occurred, system needs to restart" stuff. That only happened when i opened an app (RGB Fusion and Minecraft Launcher) and after the restart i could open the app normally.
In addition, when i opened chrome, whatsapp and my settings, some text didnt show up, or there where random black rectangles all around the screen and stuff.
Now im realy confused bcs even though I weas able to get a stable overclock and have a nice pc, I m a newbie and not a pro in this field.
(Im not english so sorry for any Spelling mistakes and stuff)

My Pc specs are:
i7-7900k @3.6 GHz --> overclocked to around 4.3 GHz
16 GB DDr 4 RAM with XMP enabled 3600 MHz
Gigabyte RTX 3070 TI
750 Watt Power supply (corsair)

ASROCK Z390 PRO4

Thermals are fine btw i never got over 50 C while the errors happened, it was under low load

I really appreciate every answer that helps in any ways
Tanks in advance

Have you deleted the drivers of the old 1660 super? Because that is very likely to be the problem.

hanks, sadly that didnt resolve the issue, i looked in my control panel and all drivers I have found where the recent ones for my new graphics card:

image.thumb.png.0d41bfe8009b1644aa2538fe6590dc43.png

I might have to add that i had a problem installing the driver, geforce experiece couldnt do it on its own so i manually installed it by openingh the driver and letting it install itself (i know, bad explanaition, i had a video tutorial show me how to do it)
Thanks

As @Alinz have suggested, you should really wipe all old drivers using DDU and then try again 🙂

DDU did not work? Did you use it in Safe Mode?

TBH i dont even know what safe mode is or how to access it...

You should watch the video from JayzTwoCents that @Alinz shared. You have to use DDU in Safe Mode, to fully wipe GPU drivers. And no, you will not wipe Windows / your image, only GPU drivers.

When finished using DDU, you will simply load Windows again without a GPU driver, so you will probably see a low resolution until Windows either fixes that by itself by using a generic MS driver or after you have installed the GPU drivers again.

Most likely yeah. Wiping of GPU drivers will never harm your graphics card, so it's probably just because drivers are missing

Something else is borked, if you can't just install drivers normally...

Expecting that you used DDU correctly and this still happens, I'd reinstall Windows, would be faster and easier than to locate the exact issue (most likely), but maybe someone here have a good tip.

I have just seen similar issues before with GPU drivers that won't install, it's a pain in the butt

well, i installed the driver manually, i will consider clean installing windows if the error happens again, but i already installed it clean this year like twice so im gonna try to not do that again, my poor wifi....
i cant say if i used ddu correctly even with tutorial, because god made me stupid.
Thank you for the help guys, i hope i dont have to come back to this thread ever again 🙂

I hope the drivers installed manually at least fixed your issues here, and good idea to do a clean install if it continues.

And many of us here are happy to help if needed, and I'm sure that you are not stupid - if all of this is new, then it makes sense that you don't know what to do. 🙂

If wiping of drivers at least fixed the described issue, please mark @Alinz suggestion (of DDU) as the solution 🙂
