External Drive Suggestions?

I recently bought a Lenovo Ideapad 3 with a Intel i5 for school. So far it's been pretty decent, im just lacking proper storage. The laptop came with a 512gb ssd installed but at the moment it's not enough for me. I want to buy a external drive to go with it but I'm not sure which one would be the best to go for. I'm looking for a drive with atleast 500gb+

I bought a Seagate 5T SSD for around $120 a few years ago. It was a USB2 but the newer ones are now USB3 and are down to about $110.

 

As long as you stay with an SSD you'll be fine.
