Hey, I'm about to build my computer based on the $1000 Gaming pc build Video, I manage to get the Palit Gaming Pro RTX 3070 for a very good price, do you guys have any suggestions on things I should change?, thanks
I'm from Mexico so the prices are different I get everything brand new for around $1,150 dolars

Not bad. Can't really think of anything I'd change other than maybe dropping down to a 650w PSU and putting a 256GB SSD in for the OS, so that you have a little more room for games. They're getting pretty big these days. You also don't have a cooler, the Intel one isn't great.

Pretty solid build, two things. 1.) the CPU won't allow for overclocking (non-K Intel skew) and 2.) maybe a Hyper 212 EVO heatsink for the CPU?

There are much better coolers than the 212 evo.

12400F is fine with stock cooler or any cheap cooler (<$30), H212 is a waste of money and not a great value, especially in a budget constraint build.

OP, my suggestion would be to go with lower capacity PSU and cheaper RAM, any 16GB 3200 would do, performance different is small but you will be saving quite a few bucks.

Also, consider RX 6700 XT, most likely would be much cheaper than 3070, while only losing a bit of performance and RT.

The Intel stock cooler only works, but generally isn't a good idea to use. Especially with how hot the 12th gen processors gets...

It's a good idea if you're on a budget. I ran my 12400 with the stock cooler for 2 months, temps were high around 80-85C at 100% load but that is to be expected. Nothing to be worried about and no performance loss since it got to boost to it's artificial limit.

Unless OP intends to OC with BCLK (which his board does not allow), an after market cooler is not needed.

For its price to performance? Just to name one, Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE.

The PA 120 is a 300w cooler, it's excellent for the money ($40) but frankly on a tight budget, literally any of the 120mm rad coolers with 4 heartpipes woould be more than enough to keep the 12400 very cool at low RPMs.  The IDCOOLING 214 or Thermalright Assassin X refined are both $20 and would do the job perfectly and leave nothing more to be gained from anything more expensive.  Bud if you want the aesthetic of a dual rad cooler, the PA 120 is the way to go.

And yeah dropping $170 on a PSU fo rthis is just kinda wasteful, especially a G5.  luv me EVGA, but that's not a good deal.  Superflower has had all of their stuff on pretty steep sale for a while, and a Legion GX Pro 650 for $58 still just seems like an unreal deal considering it's a reliable semimod unit from a good OEM.

Or, if you act fast this ASUS PSU is a very very very good unit that's on a super steep promo code sale right now, better than that super flower one and it's only $50:

Others have already answered that, but there's many. The Evo 212 was good maybe 8 years ago.
