Mic issue (windows 11)

Go to solution Solved by Guest,

Little update: I got my friend to bring over his Elgato wave: 3 mic. And that one is clear when testing, and does not cut out. So.. I'm guessing its some kind of "feature" or whatever that is build into that arctis 5 headset. That i apparently cannot turn off??

So yeah.. I will look into either getting the same mic as him, or find another one.

I will mark this as my solution, but if anyone knows how to fix the arctis one.. Then please let me/others know 🙂

Hello. I got a new pc and a pair of steelseries arctis 5 headphones recently. Pc is running fine, but i have an issue with my mic 😕
It cuts out if i go aaaaaaaaah~~ it instead goes aaah- ...ah-...ah.. (and quiet on the second part) In other words: i can't hold a long tone without it cutting out like that.
I tested it in the Steelseries GG app. Windows voice record thingy.. And discord. Same result on all 3.
The mic is selected as the right one in windows/discord and drivers are up to date. I just can't figure out why its doing this :c  Anyone got ideas?

I don't think it's a Windows 11 problem, but if you have anyone around you with Windows 10, you could ask them to allow you to test your new headset on their computers. If issue is still existent there, then it's obviously your new headeset problem which I suspect so.

Ah.. I just added windows 11 just in case 🙂 Also afraid i do not have a windows 10 pc around to try that idea. Thanks
