Asus XG27AQ vs ViewSonic XG270Q

Hi. I'm trying to pick one out of these two. A friend of mine told me that between these two brands, Asus is the best one, but I see that ViewSonic has a lot of good stuff too. Although with the ViewSonic monitor has that base that I really don't like, but for the moment (I hope) it's the only one available in my country.

So I've read. But now that I digged in some more, I found out that this Asus monitor has an awful input lag for 60 hz gameplay. I think a better choice is the Samsung Odyssey G50A. Tbh, that one was my first option originally.

For your information, this model is Samsung Odyssey G5 which is using older generation of VA panel with black smearing issue.

 

Samsung Odyssey series only start from G7 and above using newer generation VA panel without/very minimal black smearing issue.

So this Samsung model is good or not that much compared to the Asus?

It is far worst than Asus.

Actually, if you look up on rtings, you can find de Odyssey G50A, which is the S27AG50, and it's on par with the Asus

For this model it is comparable but Samsung one have better brightness.

Alright, the ViewSonic is out of the question. Now my decision is between the Asus one and the Samsung Odyssey G5 S27AG50.

Right now the Asus one is on a very tempting price point, but I've read a lot of reviews saying the QC is terrible and that they had to return theirs, and I'm afraid of getting that one, but it's the best one out of these 2 on paper.

I notice you cannot decide buy which, means either is not good enough, you should consider others or delay your purchase.

I'd buy the Asus monitor hands down if I was on the US, but I'm not and return it if it has a problem is gonna be super expensive.
