we know few details about the z97 theres no point in asking these questions till they all come out

CPU: i5 4670k i won the silicon lottery Cooler: Corsair H100i w/ 2x Corsair SP120 quiet editions Mobo: ASUS Z97 SABERTOOTH MARK 1 Ram: Corsair Platnums 16gb (4x4gb) Storage: Samsun 840 evo 256gb and random hard drives GPU: EVGA acx 2.0 gtx 980 PSU: Corsair RM 850w Case: Fractal Arc Midi R2 windowed

after i bought my asus maximus - gene now they launch the z97? is it better?? or is my gene still better?

yes it will probably be 'beter' will it be worth upgrade, hell no,

I have the same motherboard and sadly I ended up switching to an ATX case, luckily for me though, these new motherboards came out just in time for me to upgrade to ATX. I'm going to go ahead and list my Gene in the Classifieds/Ebay :P

 

(Even if Z97 isn't a big improvement, I need ATX anyways, mATX in an ATX case looks pretty odd to me)

SATA Express and support for Devils Canyon are the two major things I'm interested in.

Common Samsung, give us a SATA Express EVO SDD already.

I have a question, I've read that the Z97 will be released alongside with the Haswell refresh, not Devil's canyon, on the 11th, will the Z97 mobos be available then?

Yes the z97 chipset and mobo are been released the 11th of may (Asus has already jumped the gun on reviews) i think, as well as the haswell refresh, rumours are the the unlocked devil canyon processors will be launched around june.
