Performance or Looks

Go to solution Solved by 191x7,

With 1080p on a 15" screen you'll probably have to use scaling, having an even higher resolution would be even worse.

I'd go with the newer model.

So i have two options a recent laptop or a good looking one with 2k display. (Both are lenovo Legion 5)

The good looking one is white with 2k and bigger screen. But it comes with r7 5800h-16gb ddr4.

And the recent one has a smaller display and 200 less nits (300nits) but it comes with i7 12-700h and 16gigs of ddr5

What would you choose if you were me. What should I choose.

I’d get the ddr5 laptop. Half and inch screen size doesn’t matter, but I don’t see the benefit of having a higher resolution screen on a laptop long term. A lower resolution screen laptop with better specs will last you far longer.

The only real upside to the older laptop in my opinion is the higher storage but that is an easy upgrade.
