I think they did push out a few updates to fix the performance issues that people were initially experiencing on day 1. Assuming you have a decent enough GPU and are up to date on your drivers I think the game should be playable now.

Keep in mind that I am sometimes wrong, so please correct me if you believe this is the case!

It had nothing to do with power, it had(or maybe has) stutters and uneven framepacing, even on the fastest pcs available

Mah still runs like shit because of shader compilation, best thing to do is go to nvidiot control panel and u can set cache size to unlimited, then go to the folder Elden ring is in and rename to easy cheat file so it doesn’t launch with the game.

then basically just run around in the game and it will get smoother over time as the shader chache stacks up
