Hi,

Recently, I built a computer about 2 years ago and it has been running fantastic, but recently, I've been experiencing blue screens and some programs crash every now and then. Sometimes while I'm gaming, the game will randomly crash, or when I'm browsing the web (on Chrome), it'll just stop responding, or when I'm in a vc on Discord, Discord will restart on its own.

If my computer blue screens, my computer will stutter and then it happens. The code that's given is usually either "MEMORY_MANAGEMENT", "SYSTEM_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED", or it'll tell me that what failed was ntfs.sys. I'm not sure what the issue is but it seems like RAM? Idk.

Suggestions on what I can do to fix the issue? I would like to narrow down the issue to one thing in particular if possible before thinking about spending any money on hardware/software that may or may not even fix it.

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!聽馃檪鉂わ笍

Edit: I forgot to add that every time my computer powers on, it makes the sound effect that something has been disconnected, even though I haven't disconnected anything. Idk if that's relevant, but I wanted to include that. Maybe it'll help.

Edit 2: OH! I JUST REMEMBERED! This started happening after a power outage in my area during a thunder storm. I would imagine that that definitely plays a role into this.

With specs (model #s), no one can even begin to guess what's going on here. It's like telling your mechanic you have a red Toyota and it's making a noise.

There's a good chance your RAM could be having stability issues. Ryzen and their supporting boards are known for it. Some RAM kits are not stable on certain boards in certain DOCP profiles or OCs. I would check the motherboard manufacturer's QVL for your specific board model and see if your RAM's SKU (part #) is on it. If not, that might be because it is not stable.

ADDED: You can find this by googling "manufacturer board model ram compatibility", but don't bother with anything that isn't your specific board model or isn't the board manufacturer.

No need to get passive aggressive, people might forget or don't know the standards for asking tech help online.

Well with the general advice, check your drivers and see if there are any updates, same for windows.
If you already haven't try running the windows memory diagnostic tool and clear temporary folders and files.
Performing those actions helped me resolve my memory issues before.

Wasn't intended as such, hopefully wasn't taken that way. That said, we're not mind readers. Be nice if we were, right? 馃檪
