Budget (including currency): $5000

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: FPS, Sports, Action, Adventure, Reaper, FL Studio, Studio One

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): gaming keyboard and mouse, controller, headset for full immersion with gaming and high fidelity headset for studio, music creation, midi controllers, microphones etc.

Please help me with build options. I would like to game in 4K but if that’s too much then. I’m willing to compromise.

For $5k, you should be able to get a 7900X or 7950X and a 6950XT, 32GB of DDR5, and some reasonable SSD's, a 850-1000w PSU, and have money left over. Excellent performance in games, but it can do CPU based rendering easily.

If you aren't an AMD fan, 13900K and 4090 should be easily doable in your budget.

If you seriously need more CPU, you could go Threadripper, but you might be short of a 4090/6950XT.

I'm also making music & gaming, my actual rig is doing more than enough for all my music programs & games, i'm in 1440p though so i would probably go for at least a 3090ti for 4K, your budget is large & you can get an amazing configuration out of it, i'm thinking 13900K (less money for same or superior perfs than the 7950X) DDR5 Z790 platform, for the monitor you can go for an Aorus FV43U a good 4K 144hz monitor without totally breaking the bank, peripherals will be on you with your personnal preferences, good luck 🙂

I left some room open for the other parts. I'm not sure if you already have the monitor, but I included one anyways. There's more than enough room in the budget for studio peripherals, accessories, and etc. I would recommend visiting a Guitar Center or somewhere like that for help on that. When I was starting out with streaming and music production, they were able to get me started with that, and they should be able to price match too.

The 2 140mm fans are for the front of the case (mount them as intake fans), and the 3 120mm fans are for the top and back of the case (mount them as exhaust fans). You should also be more than able to use a cheaper 1200W PSU with this build. I went with 1500W so that you can easily upgrade the gpu in the future with no problem.

I typically don't include peripherals as I consider them personal choices. I especially don't suggest earphone to audiophiles 🙂.

My build suggestions are are aimed at creating a quiet running system with space for adding a DAC card if you need one and fast USB 3.2 gen 2x2 ports.

The PSU is a newer model compatible with ATX 3.0 and has native 12VHPWR support.

Here's how i would spec my machine if i had a 5000$ budget knowing that i do the same as you (music & gaming) 🙂

Note that the prices on the site are hella high, you can get the same build for at least 786$ less if you just get the 4090FE for the real retail price 😉
