upright 4080 build

Hi guys planning on building a new pc with the 4080 but wanted to know what case to use for it and if its possible to get it in the upright position and not worry about any problems 

 

I've narrowed it down to 2 cases : 

Lian Li O11 Dynamic Evo

Lian Li Lancool III

My question is if i was to build in the Dynamic Evo do you think that is a good idea  /  I have enough space to put in a 4080 and not worry about anything?  Seen a lot of things about that fact you should have enough space for the 4090 etc. Granted i will be using a 4080 and its prob smaller but just wanted to double check before i buy the parts

I will also buy "Lian Li Riser cable PCIe Gen 4 60CM White" so that its got a cleaner route like the pics above.

That's an interesting build, I wonder how air flow would be for the back of the GPU. 

Some people claim that running the GPU in the upright position would cause the vapor in the Heat sink tubes to fall to the bottom causing issues. However, I argue that since its a vapor and not a liquid (at least once its heated) the orientation shouldn't make a significant difference.

 

The worst outcome here is it doesn't work and you just install it normally and send the riser cable back. Its fun trying fancy builds, so if you have the time, give it a try!

Ye its going to be fun to try and the guy who made the build above said it works fine so i assume with the 4080 it should be ok as its smaller + should cause less heat but again need to wait and see

The lian li lancool iii is a much better case than the 011 circlejerk as I like to call it

hahah is there any reason for it? i think it looks better is well but i also like the upright position of the gpu on the evo
