I don't know if i should make 2 separate threads for these since they all apply to windows 10

The first issue that I have is that my pc absolutely REFUSES to update. Its to the point where regardless what i select the pc updates anyways because its so far behind. It updates to about 70% and then tells me it cant complete the updates and that its reverting changes. pretty self explanatory what the issue is here. Also ever since i haven't been able to update it my pc says I need to activate Windows so now I'm extra limited on features since my windows thinks I have a pirated windows

now along with the fact that I cant update it at all

Current update I need to install:

Last updates installed:

Second issue is that both my win and ctrl keys are randomly pressed. Ive only found temporary fixes and only one of which actually works which is win, ctrl+alt+delete Ive found one actual fix and it didnt work. Ive stopped it for right now by having both of my keyboards plugged in at the same time but obviously i dont want to have 2 keyboards plugged in at once especially when both of them are plugged in my favorite keyboard is rendered useless and im forced to use my other one. Ive tried simply plugging in different keyboards including ones that havent ever left the box. If it matters at all both keyboards are a Corsair K70 (my favorite one i cant use) and a razer blackwidow which im forced to use. I dont really know what else to say about this its obviously an issue when my windows keys are randomly pressed and half my keyboard turns into a shortcut since the ctrl key is being pressed. also started happening after the updates not being able to complete

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Specs: Intel i7-9700K, Nvidia RTX 2070, 16GB DDR4

Ok scratch that it reopened. The error code is: 0xc004f015

That error has to do with Windows activation.

How was the machine originally activated?

Some systems files may have been corrupted.

Have you tried running the update troubleshooter? https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-update-troubleshooter-19bc41ca-ad72-ae67-af3c-89ce169755dd

or System File Checker Tool? https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/use-the-system-file-checker-tool-to-repair-missing-or-corrupted-system-files-79aa86cb-ca52-166a-92a3-966e85d4094e

or running Windows repair with a Windows installer?

When I run the Update troubleshooter it just tells me that i have a pending restart and then to run the troubleshooter after the restart but when i restart it just does the same thing it does when i update it normally. sfc tool says: Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.

I honestly dont know i got the pc used, and when i got it it was activated and now its just not so i really dont know

i wonder if this means the person who had it before you either

a) didnt reset the device for a new owner properly

b) claimed it was stolen

in terms of your keyboards it makes sense that the Razor works and not the other..... after looking them up the Razor for all intensive purposes is a basic keyboard layout, the other looks to have a lot extra functions which probably means the drivers are corrupted.

Whilst i really do hope someone can help you fix this, update loop you have gotten stuck in.

given my experience with the update loop you are experiencing, the only way i could have mental sanity back was to downgrade/upgrade back to windows 7 and linux

current main system: as of 1st Jan 2023

From what ive read on old MS forums is to find the product key in command prompt with: wmic path softwareLicensingService get OA3xOriginalProductKey but apparently i just dont have a product key anymore so nothing happens.

For the keyboard thing none of them work properly if their plugged in individually but they only work correctly if i have both the razer and the corsair plugged in at the same time which sucks since my mouse and headset are also corsair so obviously i want to use the corsair keyboard so i dont have to have more than one app for them

this might be worth a read

its due to the second one i think that it was not reset properly..... being a digital license likely means they havent dis-associated the device from their microsoft account.
