Command & Conquer Generals - New video released

So I don't know about you guys but Command & Conquer Generals was and still is my favourite game of all time. Well you'll be happy to know that a new "Beyond the Battle" video has been released about the new Generals and it looks like they really are going back to the roots of the series and are making another Generals. Personally I'm extremely excited :)

EA a long while back said the new CnC Generals game is going to be Free2Play, I instantly lost interest after that.

I loved the original C&C games but with the way EA has been doing to their games lately...

The C&C franchise is definitely one of my favorites. I've been thinking it's about time they released something new, so this is good news. Bring it on!

If EA manage to mess this up ill be most displeased. The original Generals is such a good game, so good in fact that i still play it on a regular basis today and tbh it doesn't even look that bad graphically. The one thing i really want is modding support but i guess thats not gonna happen because of the free to play model. Still cant wait to see what its like and if its terrible at least it wont cost me anything.

Free to play makes me extremely worried. EA would obviously want to profit greatly from this franchise and the one way i can already see revenue coming from would be using cash to unlock special units/buildings/superweapons and/or generals. Bad bad day if that happens

Using the frostbite3 engine.. Its gonna be great.. I wonder if we can zoom in to first person when watching replays.

So far it has been announced that some generals have to be bought so...yeah...bad start for all of us.

First C&C experience for me was back in grade 9 (1996/97) "Take Your Kid to Work Day". Both my parents drive school bus, so a friend of the family offered to take me to his computer shop for the day, and I played Command & Conquer all day. On the return trip we got about 5 minutes up the road and he swerved to miss something on the road, hit the curb and bent a rim. So while we waited for CAA, we went back to the shop and played more C&C. Best School Trip Ever! Hopefully this new C&C will be as great an experience, unlike the recent garbage they released under its branding.
