Hello everyone!

Context

I am sorry to bother you but I need a bit of advice and help. My PC is quite old now, I got most of the parts in 2018 except for GPU which was 1050ti that is even older. Over a month ago it gave out on me.

Now since I don't have any income of my own (we all know how the situation is) I wasn't able to replace it with anything. Also I am from Croatia so prices here are different, just for context.

Anyway, not by my choice, I will probably get RTX 3050 as a replacement. I know, I know its really not the best to get for budget gaming etc. but as I said I don't really have a choice in it and its

not my money. My eyes were originally set on 1660 super. I use my PC for 1080p gaming, streaming for my friends, sometimes light video editing etc. Gaming mostly.

Configuration

CPU

Intel Core i7-8700K 3.7 GHz 6-Core Processor

Cooling

Cooler Master MasterLiquid 120 66.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler

Motherboard

ASRock Z370 Pro4 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard

Storage

2 x Seagate BarraCuda 1 TB 3.5" 7200 RPM Internal Hard Drive

Monitor

Philips 243V7QJAB 23.8" 1920 x 1080 60 Hz Monitor

RAM

Kingston HyperX Fury 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-2400 CL15 Memory

Power Supply

Cooler Master MasterWatt 450 W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply

Question

Is this PSU enough to run the system? I know it would be the best to get 550W plus but I really don't have funds for it. Also since I had 1050ti till now which didn't use any pin power connector I have no idea does this PSU have it

and where would it be located? Also would it be even enough for 1660 super? My goal is not to play in 2k or 4k, I just need decent frame rate on 1080p and since my screen is only 60hz I don't need anything above 60fps.

Thank you everyone who took the time to read this and give me answers/advice.

You dont have an ssd?

What is your budget?

No, sadly I don't have SSD. My budget is 400 USD but keep in mind I live in Croatia, don't have credit card so things like E-Bay, Amazon etc. are out of the question. Plus I am super scared to buy anything used because I have no idea where that card has been, what did the person do with it etc. So if it dies on me thats it, I'm ruined. Gaming is one of rare things of escape for me not to go into details here.

I mean a 1660 will also do the trick just fine for 1080 60 but what the price for lets say a rx6600?

The power supply won`t be a problem. And if you can wait a little, try to get a RX6600, its a lot better than a 3050, especially in your system.

Hey, I'm sorry to bother you but I have a question regarding 6600. For everyone that uses amd in general. I've seen a lot of people having issues with drivers, things like drivers dissapear, crashes, screen flicker etc. Is it really that bad? I don't want to fanboy anyone but I never had anything like that with old 1050ti. And I couldn't live if I spent that much money on a new GPU just for it not to work or to have tinker around flashing bios, something I have never done etc. Performance of the card looks amazing on paper but... I just want to play games xD The stress of having to fixing a new GPU for 2 months would kill me. It makes me wonder if Steam being dominated with Nvidia is for a reason?

The NVidia driver is more mature and there used to be problems with the AMD driver, but as far as i know, those are resolved.

The main reason that NVidia has more sales nowadays is things like the encoder for streaming and the better raytracing engine that NVidia has. Also of course Mindshare. NVidia is just known as THE Graphics card manufacturer. But in this price class, those factors don`t matter and the raw power of the 6600 is more important.

So far i only know one person that uses an 6800XT since nearly two years and this person never had a driver problem.
