Hey friends, looking for a headset recomendation. Looking for something primarily for listening to Youtube and taking Teams calls while Im working, but then also games. Main things Im looking for are
- Wireless, ideally it would do both bluetooth and have a dongle, but I'd take just the dongle (My work laptops bluetooth is somewhat unreliable, I've had very weird behaviour with wireless headphones in the past)

- USB-c charging
- Removable or retractable mic, I work from home 4 days a week and go into the office 1 day a week, so i'd like to be able to chuck them in my bag without too much worry.
- Decent/Good mic quality.

I have pretty low standards for my own personal audio quality, so I am not worried about things sounding good to me, and I dont play shooters or any game where directional audio matters. I also do not care about ANC even a little bit.
Anyone have any recomendations?

Depending on your budget, you could get the Steelseries Arctis 9. I have it and am very happy with it. The only thing listed that the headset doesn’t do, is usb C charging. It uses micro usb to charge.

I’ve got a hyperX alpha which is a wired only closed back full headphone, but I’ve got a Bluetooth device for it that is about the same size as a dongle and acts like one.  Mostly it’s wider than a usb key and attaches via a headphone jack rather than a usb port. It looks a bit odd on screen as it is a full closed back head phone and is also red so it stands out quite a lot. Doesn’t help with the “dongle” hanging off the side. I usually wind up attaching the dongle to the end of the wired cord so it hangs at a far lower level and looks like a standard wired headset.  It’s possible that the problems you are having with Bluetooth at work  may be just band congestion.  Too many other devices nearby trying to use the same spectrum.  This is a reason I like the wired option availability because I can simply plug in and opt out of all of that.  It would be nice if the things weren’t quite so huge and red though.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.
