I am a disabled part time streamer on Twitch. My system is a 5900x and 3080 Ti FE. 32gb 3600 cl16 ram.   I want to be able to stream AAA games on high- max settings while streaming.  But right now i cannot due to using Nvenc for my encoder. Since the settings plus Nvenc peg my GPU to 100% which makes the stream stutter. If i switch to H264 cnoding instead on my 5900x will it be able to keep up? I game at 1440p and downscale to 1080p for the stream.

Sorry for the long question.

It’s got a lot of cores.  Might.  Try it?  Another thought is perhaps that low end intel card thing in a recent video.  Then you could use av1 I think it is?  Assuming your graphics card doesn’t already have it.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.
