I wasn't really sure where to put this but anyway here goes:

So I have a tiny, old, sluggish Lenovo S10-3t from Q1 2010

It has spent the last 2 years tucked away in a draw because as I found out yesterday, it had faulty RAM.

So yesterday I grabbed some RAM from my sister's Inspiron 1537 c. 2008-2013, threw it in and now it works better than ever.

The lenovo now has the following specs:

CPU: Atom N450 1.66 Jiggahertz

RAM: 2GB of something

HDD: 300GB Hitachi SATA 2 -  I really don't know what it is :P

OS: W7 Ultimate 32bit

Keep in mind this is giving me a Windows Experience rating of 2.3 for the CPU

I was wondering if there was some way that I could turn this in to a Fileserver/NAS/Torrent device.

Could I possibly ghetto a WD red (the 3.5" ones) or two (in RAID) in/on to it and make it a NAS or something?

Any ideas on how or anything I could use it for instead.

Or let me know if there is a better place for me to put this.

OSX sucks -.-

If you can get two in raid, then you sould have no problems using raid 0/1 on it. Clearly you might have some problems over the network, but if you can get a etho at 1Gb/s pluged in or usb3.0 then it should run fine. Just keep an eye on that old atom cpu. But for what you have described it should do the Job fine.
