Do you have anything plugged into the cpu_fan header? There should also be an option in the bios to disable the error message if the message is showing up on boot.

If you ever need help with a build, read the following before posting: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/3061-build-plan-thread-recommendations-please-read-before-posting/

I have a Commander Core, and these draw power from SATA and work through USB header control, they shouldn't have anything to do with the CPU_FAN header. They don't even connect to it. Now it is possible that a non-PWM fan was plugged into a PWM header or vice versa... I could see that happening. But the Corsair Commander and Lighting Nodes are standalone systems that only use USB communication from the board, they shouldn't affect the CPU_FAN control.

I don't badmouth others' input, I'd appreciate others not badmouthing mine. *** More below ***

i do too, and yes ur right, but it's happend to others so its a problem ewither way, and it could be because the commander pro isn't detecting the fans

Relax, that's just my account signature indicating that I am moderate to severe autistic. If you click "Expand" below, it advises that I often edit posts with afterthoughts. Truncating signatures is a dumb shortcoming of the forum setup, but hey, we don't run it, right? Anyway, I was diagnosed earlier this year and since then, COVID fog has made it worse. I've had a few run-ins with people here that seem to use my quirks and shortcomings as license to start drama, so I feel it's only fair they're advised before putting their foot in their mouth. 🙂

How exactly do you have your fans connected? Your Commander should be connected to the case fans directly, your CPU cooler fan should be connected to the CPU_FAN header. I don't see how either should affect the other. Is it possible your CPU_FAN connector is one pin off or something? I can see where that would do it.

Here's a thought. You mentioned the Commander not detecting the fans. I'm not aware that Commanders would have issues with this, but are all six of your fans the exact same? As in, all PWM or non-PWM? Lighting Nodes have a known issue with only being able to control up to six of one particular series (SP / LL / QL, etc.), but I wonder if having a mix of PWM and non-PWM fans might confuse the Commander? I don't think it likely, but it's a thought. I would still double-check for proper pin / connector alignment on the CPU_FAN header just to be sure.

@Lapskauzz

ADDED: I just thought about this. The 220T is a Corsair case and likely already has a Lighting Node Core installed. It usually doesn't happen, but it's possible the Lighting Node is fighting the Commander for control (not common, but could happen). No offense, but if there was a pre-installed Lighting Node, did you actually transfer your fan connections from it to the Commander? You'd be surprised what we see folks forget on here. Anyway, if you did all that, you may just need to disconnect the Lighting Node completely.

What's plugged into the cpu_fan header? Is it running at low rpm?

What motherboard do you have?

the problem was that my cpu cooler wasn't plugged in the cpu fan header, i think plugging it in will fix it, update yall later when i try it

All good. No worries. This forum has a few glitches that tend to complicate things.

Yeah, that tends to be a problem. 😁

We've all made mistakes like that.

no, all are the same fans, ql120's, what i did was that i plugged out the lightning node pro which is the one that the 220t comes with, i got 2 lightning node cores from my 2 ql120 three packs, i use one, and plugged it into the commander pro, imma go fix it now, update u later

Plugging something into the cpu_fan header and having that run should fix the issue. If you'd prefer to disable the message for some reason, the option should be in the BIOS > Advanced Mode > Monitor > CPU Fan Speed Lower Limit > Ignore.
