Linux For Laptop

Go to solution Solved by rashdanml,

Since it's an older laptop, something lightweight would work very well: Lubuntu, Xubuntu, Linux Mint. If you want something prettier, elementaryOS is gorgeous.

Are there any Linux OS for Laptop. I'd like to try some linux stuff in my old laptop... Its an Asus EeePc 1215b or 1225b . (Can't remember and stickers are removed) Thanks for any help guys...  :)

Linux distros are multiplatform like every other OS, any distro should work fine

Arch Linux on Samsung 840 EVO 120GB: Startup finished in 1.334s (kernel) + 224ms (userspace) = 1.559s | U mad windoze..?

A 'desktop' verson of an OS (whether its Windows, Linux, Mac or otherwise) generally refers to both desktop pc's and laptops.

As far as linux goes, linux pretty much runs everywhere. Any of the main distros (ubuntu, fedora, mint, etc etc) will run on that laptop.

Think about android, thats linux based and that runs on phones with specs like, 1.2GHZ single core processor and 300mb of ram...................
