Hello, so im in the process of getting parts for a new build. My old one is 6-7 years old, and im not re-using parts. old pc will be wiped and given to gf to play casual games with me. (shes not a huge gamer)

Here is my part list: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Cuhmmando/saved/LWpv4D

Im going for aesthetics and am obviously paying more for white parts. I'm pretty set on most of these parts, im just really looking for second opinions on the cpu, and also for what gpu i should snag. Is it worth waiting for a lower 40-series? If not a 40 series, then i would most likely go for a VISION OC or some other white gpu to fit the aesthetic. I've purchased most parts already, it's really just the cpu and mobo which im not 100% on yet, a gpu, and some fans/additional memory. Please let me know what you guys think!

Edit: will also probably get a 2tb gen4 M.2 if i can snag one on sale for $200 or less

I would recommend a Zotac 3070 Twin Edge White for the GPU. Sure you could also get the Gigabyte Vision 3070 Ti, but imo it's not worth the $300 extra.

Could also get a cheaper SSD which is also faster than the 970 Evo Plus. PNY XLR8 CS3030 2TB

I don't recommend waiting for 40 series. RX 7000 seems more promising, and if you're waiting anyway might as well wait for 13th gen.

Okay I'll definitely check out the Zotac. Will a 3070 be good enough paired with the 12600k to last a few years to come? I was looking at this VISION OC 3080 . Zotac 3080's seem to be more expensive. The reason i said i can wait for a 40 series is a have an old 1070ti i could use in the meantime to getting a new one. (short term only) I do however want to get this build put together soon, and dont necessarily want to wait for 13th gen cpu. costs of 13th gen are also sort of deterring. I also thought about going AMD but seems like the 12600k is better than zen 3 minus 5800x3d (again, too costly for me atm), and zen4 is only ddr5 which im not gonna be able to do. I appreciate your reply!

I just chose the Zotac since it's quite a bit cheaper and white. I'd say it's fine, but I didn't find a white 3080 for that price on PCPP, so for that price might as well get the 3080.
