fan mm confusing

Go to solution Solved by Hairless Monkey Boy,

No. CoolerMaser says the max for the top is 240mm:

Quote

Radiator Support - Top    120 / 240mm (35mm max motherboard component height)

Though you could fit two 140mm fans up there:

Quote

Fan Support - Top    2x 140mm, 2x 120mm.

The front of the case can fit a 280mm radiator, and up to a 360mm radiator:

Quote

Radiator Support - Front    360mm, 280mm, 240mm, 140mm, 120mm

i want to purchase an aio from ek, i have an nr600 without odd case, according to tweakers top radiator support is 140mm, according to coolermaster top radiator support is 240, the ek aio is in both 240 and 280 configurations, if my assumption is correct, i can put the 280 in my case cause it has 2x140mm (280) fan, 240 and 280 are the same price, can the ek 280 radiator fit in nr600 top mount?

sorry if my sentences are confusing, english is not my first language, thanks in advance!

Just because a case can support a given fan size does not mean it can support the corresponding radiator size. Radiators are generally 4-5mm wider than the fans they mount, and the end tanks add 40mm or more to the length on top of this. If the case just barely fits two 140mm fans into a space that is 285mm long and 145mm wide, it won’t fit a “280mm” radiator that is actually 324mm long by 144mm wide. Even a 240mm radiator at 284mm long by 124mm wide would be a tight squeeze in such a space.
