OriGin1911

Hello

and Asus rog strix 3090.

is the stock cables is enough to run the strix?

one of them is one cable with 16 pcie. and the second cable is 8 pin pcie (2+6).

attaching pic of the connections, haven't turned it on yet to prevent any damage to the card.

Its doable but there will be a tiny bit of loss and extra heat.  With the daisy chain cable your pulling 300W.  You are pretty close to the limits on the standard 16/18 cables they use.

20 gauge PCIE cables - maximum 150W

18 gauge PCIE cables - maximum 288W

16 gauge PCIE cables - maximum 444W

Sharp bends or poorly designed cables can reduce it a bit.  BTW never had issues on my 3080 most of the time I had 2 physical cables up until I got the new PSU for 4000 series.

2 should be plenty. Unless you plan on some record breaking overclocks.
Prolly upgrading from my 850, going back to 1k units after the experts kept saying 850 is fine. The wine is something else.
