Pc building help

Go to solution Solved by fisterkev,

Uh.... Interesting build, I guess?

I don't think I've ever seen a $1500 build centered around an i5 and a RTX 3050. With 12 fans. And a 360 rad.

Try this one: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/74tQBj

The hardware will get you an infinitely better performance gaming, and it'll still look pretty flashy. Honestly, there are still a lot of things you could cut even out of my link to save some money, but at the very least drop the i5 and 3050. And the AIO.

If you want even better thermals with a somewhat similar organizational layout and aesthetic, the Lian Li O11 Air Mini is a fantastic case, my main rig is wearing one now. I'd try a different case and put the savings into a better GPU.

You can get a way better build for a similar price

About what id reccommend

Its not really advisable to go with previous gen, especially when it dosent save you much money. The 12400f will easily outperfrom it in gaming

Way cheaper cooler since neither the 12400 or 10400 needs a 360 aio.

Good board for the price

Getting a 4x8 kit isn't a good idea, 16x2 is always more recommended and 160usd is a crazy price for that. A 16gb kit is fine

Good 2tb storage

3080 which will outperfrom a 3050 easily

Nice case that has rgb fans and a good 850 watt psu

RX 6600 crushes the 3050 for less money.

That liquid cooler is totally unnecessary for a 10400F. You could also get by with a much cheaper motherboard.

Do you realize how big that case is? Why do you need this monolith and 12 fans for basically entry-level hardware?

32GB of RAM is unnecessary for an esports gaming build.

Overall this is very poor value for the money. At this budget you ought to be able to get to the modern Intel LGA 1700 platform and 12th gen CPU.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.
