Which GPU is better?

3070, no amount of VRAM will make up the difference in the core. Unless you run 4K that is, but at that point the 3060 might not let you turn up the graphics and still get good frame rates.

Cinebench R15 Single thread:168 Multi-thread: 833 

SuperPi (v1.5 from Techpowerup, PI value output) 16K: 0.100s 1M: 8.255s 32M: 7m 45.93s

Obviously the 3070. 

VRAM doesn't mean anything if the GPU is slow, therefore not suitable for high resolution gaming.

To put it simply, 3060 is a good 1080p gaming card, 3070 is an excellent 1440p gaming card.

 

Though, for the same amount of money of 3070, you could find RX 6800 XT, which is a good 4K gaming and super excellent 1440p gaming card. Way faster than 3070, on par with a 3080, yet cost the same as 3070.

Occassionaly visits the forum when I have nothing to do at work.
