DDR5 question

Solved by RONOTHAN##,
Two things:
- Do you actually need 64GB of RAM? If you don't you're really better off sticking to the 2x16GB kits, they perform almost identically (the dual rank benefits of DDR5 is almost non-existent compared to DDR3 and DDR4), and the single rank DDR5 kits can clock significantly higher if you overclock it manually (which if you bought an Apex, you should be doing manual DDR5 overclocking) since the memory controller on Alder Lake does struggle with multiple memory ranks.
- It depends what you mean by "best." That is a kit that's guaranteed to be Hynix M-Die, which is currently the best memory IC for overclocking present in North America and G.Skill does make some pretty good PCBs, so it is definitely strong. That said, Hynix A-Die has released in Asian markets and performs significantly better (8GT/s on air is achievable for daily stable settings with a good kit), and you can currently get kits if you know the right people (Splave is currently selling binned OEM DIMMs for $450 a kit on the HWBot forums, guaranteeing that they do at least 7600MT/s CL32).
If you just want a kit that you can enable XMP on and need 64GB of RAM, yeah that's about as good as you can reasonably find, but IMO if you're buying a Z690 Apex, you shouldn't be enabling XMP and calling it a day, that's a board designed for very high speed DDR5 overclocking, you should be running some pretty aggressive DDR5 settings.
