For $300, you can't really afford to be picky about the type of GPU or going Ryzen or not. Also, you pretty much have to go used for everything except storage (used storage is a mine field, not recommended almost ever).

Your best bet is realistically to look on local listings and try to find a full system and just buy that, maybe including an upgrade or two for smaller stuff like RAM if necessaey, it's a lot more reliable and just easier than finding individual parts while also tending to be cheaper overall (bundle deals are a real thing). $300 should hopefully get you something with a GTX 1060 and a i5 8400, but you do need to just look around you and see what's there, you could get lucky with something a lot better (I've seen a i5 11400F and 3050 go for $250) or your local market could be terrible and you end up having to go a bit worse. Be patient, wait for the good deals to come by, next gen hardware releasing should mean that you can get older stuff dropping in price from people finally upgrading.

To support a 3080ti, this is the ABSOLUTE CHEAPEST setup I would go with:

PCPartPicker Part List

CPU: Intel Core i3-12100F 3.3 GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($105.99 @ Walmart)
Motherboard: ASRock B660M-HDV Micro ATX LGA1700 Motherboard  ($79.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: Silicon Power GAMING 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory  ($44.97 @ Amazon)
Storage: Silicon Power A60 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive  ($59.99 @ Amazon)
Case: Zalman i3 NEO ATX Mid Tower Case  ($69.98 @ Amazon)
Power Supply: EVGA 210-GQ-0850-V1 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply  ($89.99 @ Amazon)
Total: $450.91
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available
Generated by PCPartPicker 2022-09-16 10:29 EDT-0400

-A mesh front case with fans included

-an alder lake CPU with 8 threads (this is worth the $30 over the 10105f, and is faster than the 10400)

-an NVMe for fast boots, loads, and good storage

-An 850w PSU of decent build quality

I'm assuming you plan on getting a 1440p or 4k monitor at some point, but there is no way you should spend any less than this on the res t of your tower to go with a 3080ti.

This will game excellenty, though.  IDK what you do for income but if you are a minor, I'm sure there are lots of leafy yards with long grass around you that you could utilize to get an extra $150 to make it happen.

I edit the shit out of my posts.  Refresh before you respond.

CONVERSELY, if you bought this used platform instead of the CPU, motherboard and SSD in my parts list, it would be under $300:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/225156740753?hash=item346c633691:g:PjkAAOSwr2xjG8fl&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAsJGA9sSQDXx%2FU5roCc5SxF0kjJca4x9gQoBApy8lHeuOIN6HsyMSSiIi9Ad2kIR%2Fzu7elLDm04r25Yzl8vuHiiHMvR%2FkZjJInF95zvOSXJh5TEW84%2FV%2F8Ut0xxh7KwyOgBsrlIhvTw%2BDY6cXjuR0nN0mN7bRkaHvTLzlAq%2BQB97xIbwD8O6yfrFWizsfXf8b3l5RIvkvp3CAfndia8C78ksCDHBI6xB2ilW4R9TRMweV|tkp%3ABk9SR8SJteroYA

You would need another 8GB of RAM, but that's ok.  You'd probably want to get a HDD to go with it, but you can probably find one around or dig one out of an old laptop.  You'd then jsut need another 8GB of RAM for like $20.  The rest of your parts list would be:

PCPartPicker Part List

Memory: Kingston ValueRAM 8 GB (1 x 8 GB) DDR4-2666 CL19 Memory  ($19.98 @ Amazon)
Case: Zalman i3 NEO ATX Mid Tower Case  ($69.98 @ Amazon)
Power Supply: EVGA 210-GQ-0850-V1 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply  ($89.99 @ Amazon)
Total: $179.95
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available
Generated by PCPartPicker 2022-09-16 10:28 EDT-0400

That would be under $300 and would work fine at 1440p or 4k.  It would also work at 1080p while being a little bottlenecked, but if your using a 1080p60 monitor for now it still totally fine, the 9400 can do well over 60fps in everything.

If you want more threads, this would also be acceptable, but then you would need an SSD and 16GB of RAM, so add about $80 to the total price:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/265887350859?epid=752456946&hash=item3de81f004b:g:DIMAAOSwxPhjI3x3&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAsJYXwp43a4xJDsyU%2B9TUgNkX5dEkUXDYKdWh5nHD59AKEHiCJgjmN2HBzxn1TGRjeBCeDf1aC20Bmc95rCJg76igaPkqg4ekF5liFxH1b9Z6fj46S7vbgzphLh7A%2BfMtrmidrJRfswI0XHiss9fixshb9m1jdEYz8yeU%2BR3Gh4%2BYFCLMzt35t9l6iARLymxKLG4oFWbxEV7TjBpCgWwEswDM9%2Fu9G0ejEGLtq3QACDTt|tkp%3ABk9SR4zM-OroYA

You realize someone is giving you a $900 GPU for a measly $200?  You can come up with a decent setup to support it.  Infact, the 3080TI requires certain support aspects, like PSU and airflow case.

Or I would question how you only have limited funds but hang with people who give out thousand dollar GPU;s cuz they don't give two shits.

This thread just keeps getting more and more outlandish.  Not sure what parts are true vs storytime.

I haven't heard of many servers.  But my point stands.  Why do you have a $5,000 server and only $200 cash?  Was the server from a family friend too?

Are you a child and just get multi-thousand dollar gifts from family and friends?

Can you get a few hundred more dollars from said family and friends to flesh out a decent machine?
