Google Wifi Network help :'(

Go to solution Solved by subaccsf,

Oh my god. I found the solution thanks to u! The message in "Google Home" said that i can't have 2 networks from one router.

But that's not true. I can't have 2 networks out of 1 router in the same "Home". But if I create a different "Home" it's fine.

Thats dumb as hell in my opinion but ok. They could have said that in the message while configuring my network

Wouldn't have thought of that if u didn't write

4.  In the google app, create a "new home"

Hello guys.

I hope u can Help me. I moved to a new location and i have a problem with my WLAN.

I have 1 router from my provider and 3 Google WIFI router? access points? whatever.

We have 2 seperate appartments and I thought i could place 2 in our main appartment and 1 in the second one and connect 2 of them to our router.

I thought i could have 2 different networks or 1 network where 2 of the 3 Google WIFIs are connected with cable (pls look at the pictures, i tried to explain)

But the app said i can't connect 2 of them with cable and i couldn't make 2 networks

Is it impossible or ist there a trick? Or am i doing something wrong?

Thanks for your time

I believe the google wifi do not support network backend, so you can't do thhat part of it.

You could try this, (this is just a theory, I don't have them and have not tried this.

1.  Setup your 2 Wifi mesh in left building.  Then unplug them completely (no power)

2.  Factory reset the 3rd wifi (if it was already paired with the other 2).

3.  Connect the 3rd one to your router directly (in left building)

4.  In the google app, create a "new home" then add and setup the 3rd wifi mesh as a stand alone unit

5.  Once it is working, unplug the 3rd one, power up the other 2, then go to the right apartment and connect the 3rd one using ethernet.
