New phone recommendation

Hi all,

 

After so many years, I think it's time to change my old Samsung Galaxy S8.

I've been looking for a new phone lately and I don't really know what to pick. I don't want an iphone, I want to stick to Android.

 

I am open to any suggestions.

 

The budget is enough for a flagship but won't go for 2000$ for the flip4

If you want to go cheap. Poco f4 is a nice option, that will outperform basically everything in its price range. If you want to go a little bit higher Samsung s21 fe is a good option. And of course you can go for a Samsung flagship S22.

Hi.

I really liked the S8, hence why I've had it for 4 years.

I want a new phone because I feel like the battery is underperforming at this moment and, to be fair, the phone overall started getting sluggish.

 

What I want to improve

- The phone to be bigger

- Increased overall performance

- Battery to last a bit more

 

I have also tested an iphone 12 mini which is a phone from work, but except for siri (which can be exchanged with google assistant), I don't feel like iphones are worth it.

1. I am fine with it, It made me move from glass protection to silicon, as it's a pain. However, it's a whatever for me, doesn't matter

2. For my S8 yes, I have a wireless charger because the charging port doesn't work anymore... it doesn't matter if it's wireless or not for me.

4. That's a good question, I can't remember in it's early years how it was. Maybe 1 charge / 1.5 days? Nowadays, I charge it once per day, but I don't use that often anymore as I moved to an iphone12 mini to try iphone out.

6. I prefer Face recognition / Fingerprints. As for the position, I have no problem with the S8's back of phone, but I would definetly like it to be in front.

I am using Honor Magic4 pro. It's an awesome underrated phone. But I want have Huawei Mate 50. However, you should know you taste and I may suggest you Huawei mate 50 Plus or Samsung S22 Ultra.
