Replacing my case fans

Kyouki

I want to replace my stock fans in my 600T corsair case, purely because I find these stock fans loud and don't feel like I can trust them cooling wise.

I was planning to buy the corsair AF/SP Series fans, but I have no idea where to place which ones.

I want to replace the frontfan by 2 fans at the front, 1 fan on top by 2 on top, and replace the back intake fan.

Any help on which ones to place where?

And how much improvement will I be able to see over the stock fans?

Thanks in advance :)

AF: Air flow optimized

SP: Static pressure optimized

So if you only want to use them as case fans buy the AF-Series.

I personally would use the back fan as an exoust :)

I hope i could help ;)

IF you really want case fan. Use those NZXT FZ series fan. or the Bitfenix spectre.( LED or non- LED is up to you to decide)

Corsair AF and SP are okay but really out-standing fan case.

Any fans below 10 dolars would be consider trash i think since it doesn't do any good for your computer.

Still haven't got a clue which ones to use where.

AF is for Heatsinks, etc... and SP is for ventilation like intake, etc...

AF = Force (and maybe pressure)

SP = Pressure

I hope this clears it up ^^

Thought it was reverse.

SP for heatsinks and AF for case intakes?

I checked a few forums on this and they all say the same thing ^^

They really did some bad naming with these fans ^^

AF -> Air Flow

SP -> Static Pressure

At least that's my understanding.

True that, but which one to place where?

Replace all my stock intake fans with AF or SP?

AF is more for case fans, where as SP is for radiators etc.

You are right indeed, stupid of me for not checking corsairs site...

From Corsair site: "AF models performs best in unrestricted spaces with at least 3cm of clearance"

Put the AF fans on the case a general airflow and SP fans on your radiator/heatsinks. Done
