Budget (including currency): 1 000 - 5 000 €

Country: Finland

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Unreal Engine 4 and 5, Blender, Power DVD 19, Cyberlink Media Suite 15, Corel Paint Shop Pro 2020, Creation Kit SKyrim AE/FAllout4, Games Like Total War Warhammer III, CS GO, Halo games, Gears Of War Games, God Of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, Monster Hunter Games, Fallout 1- 4 and Elder Scroll Games 1 - 5, North and South, Cannon Fodder  etc...

Other details :

I have already Asus Prime X570-P, 4 x Kingston 8 GB 3200 MHz mem, AMD Ryzen 7 3700x CPU, Gamerock 2080 Super GPU, Silverstone 1 200 Watt GOLD PSU, 3 different m.2 NVME drives(one in adapter), 5 different Sata SolidStateDrivers, 5 Different HDDs.

Displays nowdays, 27" 4K 60Hz Freesync HDR, 32" WQHD 144 Freesync 2 HDR, 40" Full HD TV 60" - I will replace these 27" and 40" later some other stuff

I will make Mods, try Unreal Engine stuff + Twinmotion stuff,  3D stuff, make videos, play games (Thanks Linus GoG Console/PC https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZNLCzL1WAg) I made PC for over 2 K games installed legally(GoG, Steam, Epic, Origin, MS-Store, uPlay, RockStar).

Idea is upgrade GPU from 2080super to 4080/4090/Ti version and CPU from R7 3700x to R7 5800X3D or R9 5950X.

Question is from MOBO Do I need better MOBO VRM to handle 5950 or is 5800X3D enough and will MOBO VRM handle it.

Asus Prime is pretty solid, so that should handle the chip upgrade just fine.

What PSU Do you have?  That'll be a concern on the bigger CPU and GPU Combo.

On a 4080 w a 5950X you'd want...  At least a solid 1000W unit.

I have Silverstone 1 200 Gold, I once tested that PSU other Mobo with 3 x GPU R9 390...

You have to decide what's more important to you - working or gaming. Because the 5800X3D isn't a great upgrade for productivity over the 3700X, it fits between a 5700G and a 5700X, just a tad over the 3800X, weaker than the 5800X but not by much. In most games it severely outperforms the 5800X, 5900X or 5950X, in some not at all.

On the other hand, a 5900X or a 5950X is a small upgrade for gaming over the 3700X, but a huge upgrade in productivity / work related tasks that know how to properly use multicores.
