I want to play valorant, minecraft, and rocket league at 144-165 hz at 1080p. I am upgrading from a lenovo yoga 11e i3 7th gen with a 10 inch screen. Probably going to buy on black friday. Also suggestions for a good 144-165hz monitor between 23.8 and 27 inches and 1080p.

You should replace the HDD with an SSD, that is really the most important quality of life upgrade of the last decade (pc will feel way faster, boot quickly, games load faster). A modern pc really should not go without one.

Cheapest price/GB For an m.2 SSD.  There are a bunch of little things that can make one better than another and SSD nerds will chew your ear off about it,  but for gaming you’ll never be able to tell the difference outside of how much you spend. They’re all really fast these days, windows will run at the speed of a click and games will boot in seconds.

 

Memory chips used for SSDs are all made by micron, hynix or samsung (they all make a good working product) so brand doesn’t matter.
