Recently I built my own gaming pc. I assembled it and turned it on and the computer appeared to start up, but I hadn't yet plugged it into any monitor to check if it actually booted the bios. This is my build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/W3pG . I decided to use a graphics card which I already had been using, a sapphire hd 7770 vapor-x(which had been working perfectly when I tried it just days ago). Once I plugged the gpu into my monitor and booted up the pc, there was no signal. I attempted switching the card to a different pci slot, but it still didn't work, I also attempted switching from DVI to HDMI (on a different monitor) and still there was no signal. All the case fans turn on, the motherboard seems to have power, even the gpu fans run. I was wondering if there is any possible solutions I can try before I rebuild the entire thing or try to get my hands on different graphics card to check if that is the source of my troubles. Any help is appreciated.

I've encountered the same problem with my own first build.

Try removing the graphics card, and use the CPU graphics to see if you get a signal. If you do, install the drivers for your video card, shut down, and try again with the card.

I thought that FX processors didn't have integrated graphics. In this case scenario, What I would adcise you to do is take your old system or a friends build and test the gpu again. If that does not work, reset the motherboards bios by clearing your cmos in your motherboard bios, finding the switch/button on board, or reseating the cmos battery. From there I would reseat the gpu and try try again if your monitor picks up a signal.

Hope that helps!

I know this is going to sound stupid but turn your monitor  on and then hold the on/off button down then the monitor will reset. I had a similar problem and it worked straight away if that doesn't do anything let me know what monitor it is

Alright, I'd try that now, but it's late and I don't have much time. Thanks!

Once I get the chance I will also try this. I think the monitor is an Emachines E211HBMB 22" (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4802822). I tried using plugging it into my TV with hdmi and there wasn't a signal.

I tried putting my graphics card in another system and it worked fine. I also tried the cmos reset switch and nothing happened. My suspicions are that either the cpu is faulty, the motherboard is or maybe the ram; I should be able to RMA it once i find which one it is. Thanks again.
