Over the course of Thursday through Saturday I built my new computer everything worked fine until last night I was playing some red dead redemption 2 and When i hit quit game my screens went black and I haven’t been able to get them to show back up again I have tried taking the gpu out and putting it back in again. This morning I put my old 1660 or 1660 super in and it worked fine. Should I contact EVGA or newegg about having a faulty 3080. The Specific 3080 is the EVGA FTW3 ULTRA

thanks

It might not be a bad GPU. Check your cable and monitor with a known good cable and monitor first. Also, check your RAM SKU against the board's QVL list for the processor you have. I had a random black screen start issue due to an incompatible RAM kit, although mine was just a random failed start that corrected after a few attempts. But RAM issues have been known to cause crashes like this as well.

Also, be aware that NewEgg has been under heavy fire for shady third-party sellers and apparently dumping junk GPUs on customers. GamersNexus has had quite a bit to say about this if you weren't already aware of it.

I don't badmouth others' input, I'd appreciate others not badmouthing mine. *** More below ***

Due to the above, I've likely revised posts <30 min old, and do not think as you do.
