Subwoofer not producing any sound but deep humming

Jonathan_01

I got the SMSL Q5-pro about a year ago and recently got the Wharfedale Diamond SW150 Subwoofer, when I try to connect the subwoofer to the amp through the dedicated sub out port (3.5mm aux jack), all I hear is a deep humming with no other sound coming through. When I connect the sub to my phone there is no issue. I have tried using both the line level and speaker level inputs on the sub and the humming continues. When I connect the sub through the L/R speaker ports on the AMP it works fine. Any help would be appreciated.

Update: Was using the wrong cable

As you probably already realised by the wrong cable edit, that 3.5mm AUX port is an input. You need that black one labeled SW output.
