How to Install old hdd/used hdd with files on it

I do have 500gb hard disk drive from my last pc,

How can i install it?

Plug it in using some spare SATA Data and Power cables in your PC. Go to Disk Management and delete all partitions on the disk, create one Primary partition, format as NTFS, assign a drive letter and you're good to go. This is assuming you don't need the data off the drive.

 

You could always just plug it in and use as is, but cleaning it up with a new partition would be best.
