It's not a good idea to buy a placeholder gpu since there's not much of a point to buy a bad gpu now and a better one later. If you wait a month when am5 releases, you might have the full 1500

They changed their naming scheme too drastically. 

It's still the RX 580 naming format they had years ago, but with an extra number in there to make it look like nVidia's naming. People just drop that part. XT is like the Ti version.

It's the RX 6600XT for example. Just like the nVidia RTX 2060Ti.
