USB cable brands

PostPops

Hello,

Can someone suggest a good brand for USB-C to USB-Micro-B. I am working on improving my work backup server and need a new cable that I can plug in to the computer my boss bought.

Out of interest, what devices are at each end?

You say the seagate HDD takes Micro-B? Are you certain of that?

The problem is, if you search for USB Micro-B, you get the wrong cable. You specifically need a USB3 Micro-B or you'll end up with a cable that won't work/work far too slowly.

I searched for USB C to USB Micro B and it didn't give any wrong suggestions. So, your correction is accurate, but the way you represent it is bit iffy.

Anker. They are a little expensive but damn good cables.

Probably portable HDD, or HDD in an enclosure.

The way it was prefaced gave me "I'm gonna 1up this dummy" feeling. So yes, accurate correction, bit iffy way to preface it.

I'm pretty sure they're now going for "What's the most confusing fucking naming scheme we can come up with?"
