3 pin Male connector coming from fans

There are 3 pin male connectors along with 4 pin female connectors coming from my fans. I have connected the 4 pin connectors, but I do not see anywhere to plug in the 3 pins. There are only more male connectors on my motherboard and fan and rgb hub that came with my Lian Li Lancool 215.

What specific fans or type of connector?

Some ARGB connectors have removable male pins to make them female sockets.
