Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: games like warzone, gta, gmod, Minecraft, ect

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): im currently using a dell inspiron 3650 with 16 gb of ram and no gpu. its not a terrible computer but im looking at upgrading to a custom pc. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ i would like some help conforming that all the parts work together and can play all or most of the games listed. also any tips and tricks to building it.

pcpp already points out possible incompatibilities and it should only let you pick e.g. a CPU that is compatible with your motherboard or vice versa. So trying picking some parts and then post a link to that list?

I'm afraid the link to your list doesn't work - it's the generic link to a user's active list (for me, it opened the list of my current planned build). Open the list on your account, and then select the sharing link - should look something like this: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/bxHRwc.

 

The PSU on your Dell is proprietary and rated for 240W, so you'd have to find a lower end GPU. Maybe go second hand on something even, because most stuff you can get new these days will require a beefier PSU and a few more PCIe connectors than your PSU has.
