So i took out an old Dell Precision 490 workstation out of my storage and decided to run it. After dusting and reseating the rams, it did boot up, however it gave me a few errors after the IDE initialisation (first image), and after restarting it would turn in but no signal on the monitor. After cleaning a bit of the dust off the HDD, re-inserting the motherboard cell and psu cable, it booted up again. However, when I tried opening the bios on the boot, it would just beep, no matter how many times i pressed f12, and after that, it gave a ‘I/O Card parity interrupt error(image  2)’ during which my keyboard keys wouldn’t work. Restarted after this error and back to square one where my cpu turns on along with all the fans, but the monitor shows nothing and goes to sleep.

Remove all the PCI cards besides the video card, and install a new CR2032 clock battery.

Then try booting it up again and see if it POSTs. If that lets you get into the BIOS, restore the default settings, shut down, and reinstall the PCI cards.

See where that gets you.

I sold my soul for ProSupport.

Basic question, but to my knowledge, I see 2 pci slots on the motherboard other than the video card and those are empty
